Red 2 iPod Movie Plot:

Ex-CIA agent Frank Moses and his crew return for another high-stakes mission, scouring the globe for a missing nuclear device. Along the way, they'll face off against assassins, terrorists and corrupt government officials.

Red 2 -- the sequel to the 2010 film based on the graphic novel by Warren Ellis & Cully Hamner -- finds retired black ops agent Frank Moses (Bruce Willis) reuniting with his old partner Marvin Boggs (John Malkovich) after a threat from their past resurfaces.

That threat is a Cold War-era next gen weapon dubbed "Nightshade" that went missing on their watch. Now everyone thinks Frank and Marvin know where this device is located.

MI6 taps Frank and Marvin's sharpshooter pal Victoria (Helen Mirren) to kill them, while sinister U.S. official Horton (Neal McDonough) sends the master assassin Han (Byung Hun Lee) after them. Han, as

it turns out, has some unfinished business of his own with Frank.

Frank and Marvin, along with Frank's girlfriend Sarah (Mary-Louise Parker), venture from London to Paris to Moscow on their quest to locate Nightshade. Along the way, they encounter Katja (Catherine Zeta-Jones), Frank's former lover, and scientific genius Edward Bailey (Anthony Hopkins) , the latter of whom might be the key to helping our heroes save the world.

Much like its cast of characters, Red 2 movie for iPad is an assortment of mixed nuts. There are elements that work well enough to recommend the film as passable entertainment, and almost as many that constantly remind you it's a derivative patchwork of other (and better) movies' influences and set-pieces. It skates by on charm and the sheer coolness of its many fine actors, who are assembled for what's essentially an Ocean's movie with a more AARP-friendly ensemble. While this film lacks the heart and soul that made his cult classic Galaxy Quest so great, director Dean Parisot nevertheless fashions an amiable albeit forgettable romp with Red 2 iPad movie.
